Heron yang lebih baik pada bulan Maret tahun yang sama. Kyushu utara hingga Sapporo.
Selain Nippon Helicopter and Aeroplane, maskapai
penerbangan Far East Airlines (極東航空code: ja is deprecated ,
Kyokutō Kōkū) juga merupakan maskapai pendahulu
ANA. Walaupun didirikan 26 Desember 1952 (sehari
sebelum NH), Far East Airlines (disingkat FEA) baru mulai beroperasi
pada 20 Januari 1954 dengan penerbangan kargo malam antara Osaka dan Tokyo yang juga memakai satu pesawat de Havilland Dove.
Far East Airlines mulai memakai DC-3 pada awal 1957 seiring
dengan perluasan rute penerbangan hingga ke Kyushu bagian selatan, dari Tokyo
hingga Kagoshima.
